(More customer reviews)This is MUCH better than just trying to wrap a cone around a mandrel.You slide the waffle into the form, and twist the mandrel to drag it into the cone-shaped part of the form (and around the mandrel).You quickly learn to make the cone predictably well, and if you keep the cone in the form for 30 seconds, it keeps it from unwrapping even if the waffle is a little soft. The form is made of aluminium sheet metal and the mandrel is solid cast metal with ridges. The form has no legs, so it sits unevenly on the worktop. This makes it look cheap, but it works quite well for me.I've seen a version with a sturdier form, but haven't seen a need to spend 4x for it
